Horace Johnson

Horace Lee Johnson, age 79, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 24, 1945, the beloved son of the late Felix Joseph and Francis Norfleet Johnson.
Horace was a devoted member of Dunbar Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He found great joy in attending gospel singings, spending time with his family, and sharing a good meal. A passionate sports fan, he especially loved cheering for the Tennessee Vols and the Austin Peay State University teams.
Horace dedicated 26 years of service to Austin Peay State University. He began his career working in the Physical Plant and later served as the campus mail carrier before his retirement.
He is survived by his brother, Oneal Johnson (Linda); sister, Ellen Joyce Jones; nephews, Walter Jones (Kelly) and Joseph Johnson (Michelle); nieces, Cindy McClure (Troy) and Julie Webber (Scott). He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anglin Funeral Home. It will continue on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Scott Webber. Burial will follow at Dunbar Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Troy McClure, Keaton Webber, Raul Pla, Jacob Martin, Walter Jones, Joey Johnson, and Matthew Anthony.
