Howard Eye, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his home in Clinton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Howard was born on May 17, 1949 in Kansas City Kansas and grew up in Kansas City and Oklahoma. He graduated from Southeast High School and studied Business at Penn Valley Community College. Howard worked at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies for over 30 years. Over 100 tributes were made to Howard, on Facebook, once former coworkers learned of his passing. Howard loved fishing and had many happy memories on the water with friends. He enjoyed his visits to Tom's house at the lake. His biggest love was music. He played bass in countless bands over the years both in Kansas City and Clinton. He took great pride in mentoring Wes (the kid), and having a great home cooked meal each week.
He loved getting together at Ed's and cheering on the Chiefs when they were playing. His favorite part was the chili and camaraderie. He always enjoyed his lunches with Bob and the group. Above all, Howard loved his family and his many friends.
He leaves behind his sisters Debbie Woolverton and Pat Richardson and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and brother Chuck.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.

I was very sorry to hear of Howard´s passing recently. He was a great musician and having played with him on many occasions, I was always uplifted by his ability and keen sense of humor.
Howard had a kind heart that showed countless times with his support for others in need with health issues, or fellow musicians looking for a talented bass player.
I will miss Howard with his smile and humble attitude always willing to lend a hand.
Rest easy my friend... The music in Heaven must be beyond description...

I am so sorry to hear about Howie's passing. I worked with him at Honeywell and truly enjoyed his sense of humor. Always had a smile and a joke ready. Such a great guy. Prayers for the family.
