It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Friedman, age 82, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after years of struggling with Alzheimer's disease. He was born to Ann and Irving Friedman on June 8, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Austin High School, and after a brief stint at Northern Illinois University, he began working with his father, who was an Electrician. He joined the local electrical union, and his 46-year career as an Electrician started. He met his wife, Spery, in 1964, and they were married in September 1965. In 1974, he moved his family to San Diego, California. His passion was soccer. In 1976, his son began playing, and he fell in love with the sport. He was a renowned coach and mentor for over 25 years. He was loved by many who knew him for his kindness, generosity, and easy-going positive attitude. He was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Spery, his daughter, Michele, and son Derek.

Howie was a good friend for many years. He was a "great giving" individual for his entire life. May he rest in peace forever.
