HOWARD B. KULLGREN, 83 of Pinecrest Road, Jaffrey died Sunday April 4,2004 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Temple NH, December 16, 1920 son of the late Gustaf and Mable (Page) Kullgren.
He was a 1938 graduate of Appleton Academy in New Ipswich.

Mr. Kullgren served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the John Humiston American Legion Post #11 of Jaffrey.

Mr. Kullgren was employed as a printer for W.W. Cross Company in Jaffrey, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of the United Church of Jaffrey and had served as a deacon of the church for several years. He also belonged to the former Couples Club of the church.
He was a former Grand Master of the Dunster Hill, I.O.O.F. Lodge of Wilton.

From 1986 until 2002 he and his wife, wintered in Dade City, Florida where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard.
He enjoyed time spent with family, fishing and doing jigsaw puzzles.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara (Fitzgibbon) Kullgren of Jaffrey; a daughter Christine Inman of Jaffrey; three sons John L. Kullgren of Bennington, Wayne D. Kullgren of Troy and Scott H. Kullgren of Pinellas Park, Florida; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister Bernice Kullgren of Morristown, Tenn; two brother Harold Kullgren of Temple NH and Dade City, FL and Karl Kullgren of Morristown,Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. William Beardslee, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Conant Cemetery, Jaffrey.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jaffrey-Rindge VFW Memorial Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 107, Jaffrey NH 03452-0107.
