Howard Lee Lynch, 82, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Howard was born on July 30, 1943, to Carl Lynch and Hallie Mae Young, in Prague, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Prague High School, Howard went into the United States Army. After serving in the military, he worked for the City of Shawnee, Scrivner, Fleming Foods, Seminole College and as a chaplain at a hospital. Howard enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and watching Lilly, his great granddaughter, and the Seminole softball girls play ball.
Howard married Joan on November 21, 1995, with family members joining them.
Howard was preceded in death by Larry Gene, Teresa Dawn, and DJ Lynch.
Howard is survived by his wife, Joan Lynch; son and his wife, Joe and Brenda Lynch; daughter and her husband, Crystal and Dean Ryon; and son and his wife, Scott and Trisha Cox. He is also survived by grandkids: Levi Ryon, Heather Ryon, Koby Cox, Cooper Cox, Brittany Cox, Dillion Cox, Chelsey, and Shelby; and great grandkids: Mason, Lilly, Addily, Cole, and Parker.
Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2025, 12:00 – 5:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Tecumseh Cemetery Pavillion, 18800 S. Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
