Howard Murphy Jr. Obituary
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. He put his arms around you and whispered “come to me” with tearful eyes as we watched you, and saw you pass. And though we loved you dearly; we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands were put to rest. Even though our hearts are broken, you are at peace now.
Howard Carl Murphy Jr was born July 19, 1956, to Howard Carl Murphy Sr and Susie Gooden in Little Rock Arkansas. Carl was the 7th child of 13 children. He to San Fernando High School in San Fernando. California. Carl moved to Telephone, Tx and started a business with his brother James landscaping.
Carl is survived by a son Howard Carl Murphy III and wife Veranick Murphy; grandchildren Tiana Cashay Hardnett, Erica Mease, Howard Carl Murphy IV, and Heaven Cashay Murphy; his sister Cheryl Murphy; brothers Ray E. Butler, Adib-Hasan Omar (Zarinah and ED Rucker (Cheryl) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Howard C Murphy and Susie Gooden, grandchild Eniyah Mease, brothers James Rucker and wife (Joyce), Richard F Murphy. Dexter L Murphy, Daryl E Murphy and Mark D Murphy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. in the Jones-Walker & Son Chapel.
