Howard E. Parks Jr.

Howard E. Parks, Jr., of Parkton, Maryland, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born on November 28, 1934, and was the loving son of the late Howard E. Parks, Sr. and Ruth Parks (née Redman).

Howard was the devoted husband of the late Katherine L. Parks, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, having wed on July 20, 1956.

He was a devoted father to Cindy Metcalf and her late husband Keith, Kathy Boblits and her significant other Jack, Sharon Marino, Mary Ruth Lafex, and the late Lori Black.

Howard was a cherished granddad to Krista and her husband Scot, Michael and his wife Kellie, Kyle and his wife Tiffany, Heather and her significant other Richie, Skylar, Michael, and Danielle. He was a proud great granddad to Kacie, Kolle, Karli, Hoyt, Jensen, Kennedie, Athena, and Eileithyia.

He was the dear brother of the late Walter Parks and his wife Jane. Howard is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Howard was a proud band member of The Country Swingers and greatly enjoyed playing his guitar. He loved visiting Arizona and enjoyed tinkering with vintage vehicle restoration.

He will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Howard's life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home – 16924 York Road, Monkton MD, 21111 for a visitation on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held between visits, at 6:30pm. Cremation to conclude visitation.
