Baue Funeral Home - Cave SpringsHoward E. “Buddy” Pulley, of Florissant, MO, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Geraldine Pulley; cherished son of the late Elizabeth Pulley; devoted father of Steven Pulley and Christine (Gerald) McFarland; loving grandfather of Nicholas McFarland and Andrew McFarland; dear brother of four sisters who preceded him in death, Inez, Dorothy, Elizabeth, and Mary-Katherine; treasured uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Howard was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked at Coca-Cola before spending most of his career with Vess, where he eventually retired. Lovingly known as “Bud” or “Buddy,” he was a fun-loving man with a great sense of humor who enjoyed joking around and making others smile. He was always eager to strike up a conversation with anyone he met and took joy in brightening lives with his laughter. A devoted grandfather and animal lover, Howard often spoiled both his grandchildren and the many dogs he had throughout his life, while also enjoying the simple pleasure of feeding birds and squirrels in his yard. A CB radio enthusiast, who enjoyed dirt biking, camping, and coaching little league, who later in life embraced new technology, whether it be video calling family across the country or downloading games for his grandsons. Howard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Howard's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
