Howard, endearingly known as "Popaw", is survived by six grandchildren and their spouses: Samantha Allison Cyr (Ryan), Victoria Maryann Greene (Lance), Adrian Lee Staley, Joshua Patrick Meehan (Hollie), Kayla Joann Taylor (Rob Bramblett), and Michael William Tripure; Four great grandchildren: Charlotte Jo Cyr, Finley Jane Cyr, Eleanor Clara Greene, and unborn James Wyatt; and honorary daughter, Tabitha Stoll
As a retired captain of Lexington Fire Department, and faithful member of Highlands Baptist Church, he leaves behind a legacy evident of a man who lived courageously, with strength and forbearance, giving all his love to the people around him. Visitation for Howard will be from 5-8PM Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, at 10:30AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
