Howard Woodrow "Bud" Thibaut

Howard Woodrow "Bud" Thibaut, 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away March 5, 2026. Born August 20, 1938 in London, Ohio. Bud was a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and built a long career across multiple industries, including Gulf Oil in Miami, Ford Motor Company, precious metals, real estate and oil & gas, which brought Bud and his family to Houston in 1981. A steadfast leader in Alcoholics Anonymous, Bud mentored many in their sobriety journeys. Bud was a graduate of the University of Florida, obtaining a degree in Business Accounting and was a proud and vocal gator fan.

Survived by wife Sharon; sons, Scott (Cathy), Mark (Kristi), Tim (Lisa) and Dan (Melissa), from his first marriage to Marie; stepdaughters, Heather and Amy; grandchildren, Hannah (great grandchildren Audree, Charlee, Vincent and Bailey), Lindsey, and Nicholas; Christopher; Timothy; Isabella, Judah, Jack, and Jay; and Jacob and Sarah; and many extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Donald and Audrey Thibaut; and brothers, Roger and Larry.

A Memorial and Celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Ben Duncan, will be held at Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m.
