Hoyt Ferguson, age 95, passed away August 21, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1930, in Altoga, Texas, to his loving parents Rasie Wilson Ferguson and Vee Lee (Treadway) Ferguson.

Hoyt grew up in North Texas, where he attended elementary and high school. He enlisted into the United States Army on September 12, 1951. While proudly serving his country during the Korean War, Hoyt earned the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal.

Hoyt met the love of his life, Wilma Jean Kindle, and on July 23, 1955, they celebrated their love and commitment to each other, in Durant, Oklahoma. Raising their two children Garry and Kim, brought many years of joy and countless cherished memories.

Hoyt is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Jean Ferguson, of McKinney, Texas; son, Garry Ferguson (wife Janel), of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Kim Yelle (husband Paul), of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Garry Kindle Ferguson (wife Jackie), of Japan, Whitney Phillips (husband Dylan), of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Matthew Yelle, of Owasso, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Mila and Genevieve; Eleanor Phillips, and a host of extended family members and friends, who will fondly cherish his memory.

Hoyt was preceded in death by his parents, Rasie and Vee Ferguson, sisters, Ella Ferguson, Stella Ferguson, Delilah Hammond, and Hazel Nance, and brother, Gene Ferguson.

A graveside service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
