Hubert Powers Obituary
Born in Chesapeake, VA on October 27,1932, Hubert was a vibrant and dedicated individual known for his strong character and unwavering commitment to his family and community.
His warm presence and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 69 years, Lucretia Powers. they were blessed with five children, Frankie (deceased), Janet ( Skip), Ronnie (Peggy, both deceased), Danny (Lisa), and Lisa (Scott). He also had 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Blanche Powers, brother, Hugh, and sister, Doris.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August, 27, 2024 at 1:00PM at Altmeyer Funeral Chesapeake Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Hubert Powers life and share their memories. Burial will be at Rutter Cemetery, 728 Ballahack Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
Hubert Franklin "Lightening" Powers will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
