Hubert "Goose" Tatum Jr.

Hubert "Goose" Tatum, Jr. 88, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024.
Born August 15, 1935 Died June 24, 2024.
Goose was born to the late Hubert L. Tatum Sr., and Ruth (Wolf)Tatum Morris in Louisville, KY.
Goose studied accounting at Bellermine. He was in the US Army and was an avid UK fan. He worked at Commonwealth Life Insurance for 34 years, making the Leader's Club level every year. Goose's claim to fame was hitting a double eagle at Bobby Nichols Golf Course.
Preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 45 years, Phyllis Miller Tatum, longtime companion, Wanda Wiser and sister,Ila Tatum Miller.
Survivors include daughters, Kathy Thompson (Bart), and Lisa Tatum-Wease (Mike); grandchildren, Ryan Clark (Manda), Jenna Skipper (Steve), Mike Wease Jr and Renae Wease; great-grandchildren, Carrington Clark, Remy Clark, Maggie Wease, Nora Wease and Nathaniel Skipper. Goose also leaves behind loving friends, Jeff and Terri Wiser.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Owen Funeral Home.
