Mr. Hugh Marvin Whitaker, 90, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Clark Funeral Home with Rev. James Alexander officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday in the Clark Funeral Home chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. before the service begins.
Mr. Whitaker was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from working at Pabst Brewing Company. Marvin loved fishing and buying and selling antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin C. and Mary Mayo Whitaker, his wife, Nellie Rose Whitaker and a son, Douglas Gordon Whitaker.
Survivors include his sons, Russell Whitaker (Lisa), Donald Whitaker (Elaine); brother, Gerry Whitaker (Linda); grandchildren, Kyle Whitaker, Amy Whitaker, Chris Whitaker (Audrey) and great-granddaughter, Ava Whitaker.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
