Hui Meow "Peggy" Hollerbach, age 84, of O'Fallon, Ill., born September 9, 1939 in Taiwan, one of eleven children, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024.
Peggy met her late husband John while he was an airman stationed at Taipei Air Station, and they married in 1970. Eventually settling in O'Fallon, Peggy owned the "Velvet Freeze" ice cream shop in Belleville in the 1980's. She also was a cashier at Walmart for nearly 20 years. Peggy was a member of the Enterprise Grange and attended the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Center in St. Louis. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener; she particularly enjoyed harvesting and sharing her Chinese chestnuts. Peggy loved playing Mahjong with her friends and family and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Bernard Hollerbach and her parents.
Peggy is survived by her children Katrina (Shawn) Hearn, Ben (Cory) Hollerbach; stepchildren John (Julie) Hollerbach, Jr. and Marita Hollerbach; grandchildren Kaden, Kolton, Kamden Hearn, Seth Nichols, Olivia Hollerbach, Brittany and Carey Hollerbach.

Visitation: 4-8 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home 102 W. Washington St, O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Graveside Service: A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, for a Graveside Service to begin at 1:15 pm, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
