Hulva Mike Van Brackle, 83, of Kirkland, Washington was born October 6, 1941, to Calvin Van Brackle, Sr. and Laura Van Brackle Dickenson in Queens, New York City, New York. Hulva was the youngest of five boys.
He was a proud veteran serving in the US Airforce, during the Vietnam War. He discovered his passion in aerospace working as engineer for The Boeing Company for 34 years and in the Boeing Flight Test program for 26 years.
In his free time, Mike enjoyed traveling, photography, and taking car trips across the U.S. He was a loyal friend to many and cherished for his humor, smile and willingness to help others. We will cherish his memory and he will be greatly missed.
Hulva is survived by his daughters Shaunta Hyde (Al), Wendi Eichler (John), Dawn Cullerton (Tony) and Elizabeth Fielder. His grandchildren Justin Van Brackle, Anthony Cullerton, Angelena Fly, Alleyah Armendariz, Jaylen Eichler, Chayton and Chandler Hyde, Leon Richardson, Eric Price, Marcus Fielder and Lauren Fielder and his nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Hulva Michael Van Brackle II.
The family would like to thank the Beza Adult Family Home for the extraordinary care, love and compassion they showed our father during his stay. The love and support of the caregivers were simply outstanding.
A military graveside service will occur at 12:30 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042.
