Hunt Hardinge Keith

Our beloved Hunt Keith, 74, of Candler, NC, stepped into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, October 21, surrounded by his loving family. Though our hearts ache, we rejoice, knowing he is whole, free, and worshiping in the joy of the Lord.

Hunt was the son of the late Harold Hardinge Keith and Jeanne Keith Cordes. He graduated from Edmunds High School and continued his education at the University of South Carolina with a degree in Business Management, joining his father in the family clothing business in Sumter and Florence, SC. He later returned to USC to earn a degree in Nursing, working several years in healthcare before transitioning to pharmaceutical sales.

During college, Hunt dedicated his life to Jesus Christ, and God used faithful friendships to deeply shape his walk with Him. As he surrendered his life, God used Hunt's gifts in music and his love for people to write songs of worship, share the gospel, and encourage many. He and his wife, Monica, later served together with the Child Evangelism Fellowship, sharing the good news of Jesus with children and families across Asheville, NC.

Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." - John 15:5

This truth became Hunt's lifelong passion-to trust Jesus to live through him by His grace.

Hunt's legacy is carried forward by his wife of 37 years, Monica; their children, Britton and his wife Rebekah, Hamilton, Molly, and Kaylee; and their grandson, Luka. He also remains in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Hunt now rejoices in heaven with his parents and his siblings, Julee Salisbury and James Keith.

A celebration of Hunt's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Upward Christian Fellowship, 991 Upward Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731, at 11:00 a.m.

Friends and loved ones are invited to visit with Hunt's family from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to the service.
