Hunter Gage Hicks, 17, of Bear Creek, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, September 26th, 2023.
He was born July 11, 2006, in Lee County to his parents, Shannon Dwight & Shannon Rae Hicks. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dwight & Jane Hicks, Maternal grandfather, Frank Shinault.
He is survived by four siblings: Andrew Hicks and wife Jordan, Nicholas Hicks, Brenden Holder and Katie Hicks. He is also survived by two grandmothers, Dianne Hicks & Karen Shinault. Nieces and nephews, Karter, Tayler, Mylie, Hallie, Hazel, and Arabella. He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Hunter was a beautiful soul who had a huge heart and was loved by everyone, especially his brothers and sister. He had a goofy personality and loved to make everyone laugh. He was a student at Chatham Central High School and loved fishing & hunting, playing football and baseball, playing Xbox with his friends, and spending time with his family. He was a true NC State fan.
Visitation service for Hunter will be Saturday, September 30th, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City. Graveside service will be Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at 2 PM at Goldston Methodist Church, 185 Hillcrest Ave, Goldston, NC 27252. Officiated by Reverend David Hicks.
