Funeral Mass for Huron Gauthier, Sr. of Cottonport will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport with Fr. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s #2 Cemetery in Cottonport.
Huron Gauthier, Sr., age 80, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at his residence in Plaucheville surrounded by his loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lisa Meche (Joey) of Goudeau, Randy Gauthier, Vicky Gauthier, Bobby Gauthier, and Huron Gauthier, Jr. (Casey) all of Cottonport; grandchildren, Ashley Foret (Lance), Casey Meche, Hailey Gauthier, Brooke Gauthier, Alexis Gauthier, Laekyn Stroud (Levi), Beau Gauthier, Kayleigh Madrigal (Christopher), Tristen Gauthier; ten great-grandchildren, Elijah Foret, Kinley, Jacie, Parker, & Landon Gauthier, Charlotte & Greyson Stroud, Jhett, Mila & Nolan. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Ducote of Hessmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ann Cooper Gauthier; his parents, Merlin & Lillie Gauthier; his grandchild, Courtney Gauthier; and great-grandchild, Sawyer CheyAnn.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Lance Foret, Elijah Foret, Brian Bordelon, Christopher Madrigal, Curry Cooper, Joey Meche & Tristen Gauthier.
Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 11:00am on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.
