Hurshel "Dean" Clairday, 59, of Jonesboro, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 21, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 25, 1966, in Jonesboro to the late H.D. and Geraldine Clairday.
Dean worked for Frito-Lay for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, fishing, and cheering on the Razorbacks and the 49ers. Above all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Etter Clairday; his son, Tim (Cierra) Clairday; his daughter, Ashley (Keith) Hanson; and four grandchildren, Carter, River, Saiya-Grace, and Kiana, all of Jonesboro.
A celebration of life will be held at North Main Baptist Church in Jonesboro, on October 11th, from 3-5.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the NEA Humane Society, 6111 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401 in honor of Dean’s love for animals.
