Hwaki had a fulfilling career working in the Casino and Hotel industry as a change person and in housekeeping. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and tending to flowers, particularly roses and orchids.
She is survived by her beloved husband Charles, her son Daniel, her daughter Christie Duerr, her son-in-law Eric Duer, and her grandsons Cade and Eli Duerr. Hwaki was preceded in death by her father Min Paek Su and her mother Ching Sun Cha.
A funeral service to honor Hwaki's life will be held at the Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel located at 27221 156th Ave, Kent, WA 98042, on June 13, 2024. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
Request light colored clothing be worn, flowers are welcomed. Cards and condolences may be sent to Christie Duerr, 17311 SE 288th St, Kent, WA 98042
