IDA MAE KENNEDY, age 102, of McDonald TN. passed away Novemeber 4, 2025 at her residence. A native of McMinn county, but current resident of McDonald TN., she was the daughter of the late Ransom Harrison and Walcie Wattenbarger Lingerfelt.
She is preceeded in death by Husband, JP Kennedy; Daughter, Brenda Bryan; 4 Brothers, Edward Lingerfelt, Ralph Lingerfelt, Bobby Lingerfelt, Ray Lingerfelt; Sister, Amanda Knox; Grandchild, Michael Monroe.
Ida Mae was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and a friend to all. She was a member of Clearwater Church. She enjoyed making quilts. She loved her family and having company over. She was always ready to feed you if you came through the door.
Survivors:
2 Daughters and spouse, Joyce (Terry) Cline, Peggy Salgado; Son and spouse, Randy (Barbara) Kennedy; Son-in-law, Carlos Bryan; Sister and spouse, Catherine (R.B.) Dake; Sister-in-law, Bobbie Lingerfelt; 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; 12 Great-great grandchildren;
Several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Chris, Lee, Laura, Shawn and the other members of the hospice team of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Gardner officiating.
The family will receive friends and family from 12-2PM prior to the service.
The graveside service will be at clearwater cemetery immediatly following the funeral service.
