Ila Allred Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Usrey Brown Funeral Service on Apr. 1, 2024.
Ila Ruth "Boots" Allred, 92, passed peacefully on March 30, 2024. Visitation will take place at Usrey Brown Funeral Home in Talladega on Wednesday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm followed by a service at Lincon Methodist Church on Thursday at 2:00pm. The burial will take place at 11:00am Friday April 5,2014 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Andy.
Boots grew up in Ashland Alabama and had not one, but two careers in the Lincoln area. She retired from First Alabama/Regions Bank after 33 years and having been involved with Talladega Super Speedway for many of those, began full time employment there shortly after. She loved flowers and making her yard beautiful was one of her favorite things. She was an active member of the Lincoln Methodist Choir for many years.
Mrs. Allred is survived by daughters Angi Arnett, Terri Greene (Rich); grandchildren, Brad Arnett (Cody), Conner, Alex and Abby Greene; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Amber, CeCe and Addison Arnett. She is preceded in death by siblings Edilene, R.B., Ema Jean and Jake.
Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will be directing services.

The prompt said, "Describe a time when she made you laugh or smile." Every time I was in her presence she made me laugh & smile. She was a joy to be around at all times.
We were already friends but when we began working together as partners at the Pols in Lincoln we became even closer and had so much fun.
Her smile, her kindness to everyone and her wonderful sense of humor, set her apart.
I loved Boots and Andy so much and, like so many others, I´ll miss them but I´ll treasure my memories of them both.
Sending love and prayers to the family.
