Imogene (Jean) Marie Monroe passed peacefully into the Loving Arms of her Savior at sunrise on January 14, 2025, in her home in Navarre, Florida.
Jean was born on March 5, 1935 in Linn, Missouri, the only child of Opal Mary Baker Carwile and Paul Edward Carwile, who preceded her in death. Jean is survived by her husband, Robb Lee Monroe, oldest daughter, Deborah Jean Boorman Haywood and her husband Doug Craig, son, Paul Wallace Boorman, and wife Linda Carol Holbert Boorman, and daughter Jessica Boorman Blackmon, as well as eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was a beloved matriarch and a solid rock in her family’s lives.
She worked as an executive secretary at the Missouri Department of Transportation, but devoted most of her life to ensuring her children were taken care of. She was passionate about her plants and flowers, and loved the outdoors, and instilled that love in her children. She was a devoted follower of Jesus, and loved her church family.
