It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ina Faye McClain, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Ina Faye McClain was born on June 29, 1932, in Danville, Arkansas, and passed away on July 29, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Throughout her life, Ina dedicated herself to a career as an insurance underwriter and was also a real agent in Cheyenne. Her dedication to her work was commendable, and she excelled in all her endeavors.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ina will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. Family meant everything to her, and she always put their needs above her own. In times of need or uncertainty, Ina was the rock that her loved ones could always lean on. Her kindness and compassion knew no bounds.
In her free time, Ina enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She found joy in horseback riding and proudly participated in numerous Cheyenne Frontier Days parades. Additionally, she was known for her skills on roller skates and often found solace in gliding gracefully around the rink.
Ina is survived by her loving husband Willis H. McClain, daughter Sandra Cary, sister Wanda Sue Walker, stepson Russell G. McClain, stepdaughter Angie Hickmott, stepson Darvin McClain, as well as numerous grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She is preceded in death by her sons Donald L. Cary Jr. and Daniel D. Cary, her brother Raymond Mcarthur, and her mother Ola Lyons.
A celebration of life to honor Ina Faye McClain will be held at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne on August 9th at 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Gathering at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a Graveside Service at The Cheyenne National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Ina Faye McClain's legacy of love and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished beyond measure.
