Ina Louise Parsons, 88, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away Saturday March 29, 2025, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, Indiana with her family by her side.
She was born on October 22, 1936, in Loogootee, Indiana to Kenneth and Alfretta Sutton.
Louise graduated from the class of 1955 from Loogootee High School. She married Harold Gene Parsons Sr. on February 12, 1956. Louise attended Truelove Church. She was a 4-H leader for many years. Louise was a member of the Martin County Homemakers Club. She worked at US Gypsum for over 38 years until her retirement. Louise enjoyed reading, traveling with Harold, knitting, crocheting, bowling, and gardening. She loved watching the hummingbirds that came to visit her garden. Most of all Louise loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Alfretta Sutton, her sister, Carolyn and husband, Bob Howell, and her brother – in – law, Robert Watson.
Louise is survived by her husband, Harold Gene Parsons Sr., their children, Gene (Debbie) Parsons, Vicki (Steve) Dills, 6 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, 5 great- great grandchildren, siblings, Jerry (Elaine) Sutton, Peggy Watson, Mike (Trudy) Sutton, Marla (Bob) Combs, and several nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 4, 2025, at 10:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee with Rev. Gerald Frye to officiate. Burial will follow in Truelove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025, from 4:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M and again on Friday April 4, 2025, from 9:00 A.M until the time of service at 10:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Truelove Church in memory of Louise Parsons.
