Inez was born in Stockdale Texas on April 19, 1931 and passed away on Friday December 22, 2023 at the age of 92. Her parents, Pedro Barrera and Teresa Castillo Barrera, passed away at an early age and she and her siblings were cared for by elder family members in childhood.
She married Santos E. Molina after his service in WWII and they lived on a farm in Hobson, Texas for several years. After moving to Karnes City, Texas she worked at a furniture company and learned upholstery. She became self-employed as a small business owner of "Molina's Upholstery" for over 30 years, and expanded her craft from furniture to auto, boat and plane interiors. In 1992, Inez and Santos moved to Lago Vista to be closer to family and they relocated the business to Jonestown. Inez was a self-motivated, hardworking individual and took much pride in her beautiful work, serving our lakeside community for many years before her retirement.
Family and friends were central to her life, and she provided endless laughter and fun to our gatherings. She helped us and touched our hearts in so many ways throughout her life. We will cherish our memories with her, always.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Santos E. Molina; brother, Domingo Barrera; sisters, Juana Chapa, Amada Resendez, Gregoria Resendez, Hilma Zerda; Herminia Barrera; Son, Richard (Ricardo) Molina (wife Lupe, living).
Inez is survived by her children, Rachel Molina Gress (husband Gene), Eddie B. Molina (wife Brenda) and Amanda Chrysopoulo (husband Minas); Grandchildren, Rudy Canales, Rachelle Molina (husband Kody), Evan Molina, Santiana and Thea Chrysopoulo, Carla (husband Darrick), Amanda, Angie, Brenda (husband Raymundo), Karina (husband Keaton), Michelle and Nikki; Dorean Canales and other numerous great grandchildren.
