Isaiah 40:31- But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall walk and not faint.
On July 20, 2025, God called one of his guardian angels home, to rest in his arms, Miss Inez Robertson. She passed at the “Our Lady of Peace”’ Charlottesville, Va. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. She was born on March 28, 1958, in Bedford Va. She was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Mary Bond and grandparents Andrew and Angie Robertson and a special friend Edward Mosby.
Inez attended Staunton River High School, Bedford, Va. She also received an Associate degree in Accounting from National Business College, Lynchburg, Va. She was employed at J. Crew for 30 years. She was a faithful member of First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Rustburg, Va. until her health started to decline.
She loved singing in the choir and was always full of laughs. She also enjoyed baking cakes and pies, crocheting and gardening and visiting family and friends. She was known as “Sandy”.
Inez leaves to cherish a devoted daughter, Edvina Robertson, two granddaughters, Alonda Clark, Kayla Hamlett, all of Lynchburg, Va.: five brothers, Doug (Tamela) Bond, Fredericksburg, Va., Richard (Melissa) Bond, Hardy, Va., George, Sandy, Jackie Bond, Roanoke, Va., two sisters September Willis, Sylvia Bond Both of Roanoke, Va. one Uncle, Mundy (Emma) Bond, Wertz, Va.; three aunts Dosia Bond of Roanoke, Va., Betty (John) Tanner of Hillside, New Jersey, Debra Turner of Bedford, Va. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Our Lady of Peace and Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to their loved one. They are also deeply thankful to the many friends and family members for the outpouring of love through cards, texts, phone calls, and shared memories. Your kindness and support have been an incredible source of comfort and a true blessing during this time.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10 A.M. at Prayer of Faith Temple, 3100 Hill Street, Lynchburg, Virginia 24501.
