Ingrid Frisinger

Ingrid Tina Frisinger-Ekins, of Eaton Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born on December 21, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ingrid was the daughter of Kasper and Thea (Maas) Komdeur. She grew up in Jenison and graduated from Unity Christian High School with the Class of 1980.
Ingrid spent several years in Muskegon, where she raised her three daughters and worked as a bookkeeper for several local churches. She later settled in Eaton Rapids, where she met and married her late husband, Martin Ekins.
Ingrid had many interests and hobbies that brought her joy, including coloring, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and digital games. She was also an avid reader and loved taking walks outdoors. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Eaton Rapids, where she formed many cherished friendships.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her father, Kasper; and her sisters, Brenda Komdeur and Jodi Eikenhout.
Ingrid is survived by her daughters, Alicia (Don) Harris, Brianna (Ken) Renno, and Kayla Finup; her mother, Thea Komdeur; five grandchildren; siblings, Karen (Mark) Mastbergen, Jennifer (Ron) Timmer, Paul (Anna) Komdeur, and Denise (Nathan) DeJong; brother-in-law, Dennis Eikenhout; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Eaton Rapids.
