Ingrid Gardner was born on May 25, 1954, and passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph B. Gardner and Claudia B. Gardner.

Ingrid leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply. She is survived by her beloved nephew-son, Kyle Vincent Gardner; her sisters Geneva Gardner, Jeannette Gardner, and Vivian Gardner; and her brother Timothy Gardner. She is also remembered fondly by her nephews Tommy Gardner, Timothy Jerome Gardner, and Brock Gardner; her niece Tina Gardner; her great nephews Jerome Edward Davis Jr. and Kaiden Alexander Gardner, and her great niece Bailey Howard. Ingrid also leaves behind her cousin Cassandra McCann, whom she loved like a sister, along with many other cousins who held a special place in her heart. She is further survived by a cherished sisterhood of friends, Denise Gavia, Debra Jackson, and Patricia Wills, whom she loved as family.

Ingrid was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s Academy High School. She continued her education at Indiana State University and later at Western Michigan University, where she studied Communication, a field that reflected her natural gift for connecting with others.

Throughout her life, Ingrid held a variety of roles that showcased her versatility and people-focused nature. She worked as a radio DJ personality, bringing energy and warmth to the airwaves. She also served as an ER admissions staff member at Wishard Hospital, where her compassion and calm presence supported countless individuals during difficult moments. In addition, she worked at AT&T as a customer service and sales agent, where her communication skills and genuine care for others truly shined.

Ingrid was a very spirited person with a vibrant personality that filled every room she entered. She had a deep love for music and often used it to express joy, encouragement, and comfort. She also loved food and cooking and found great joy in nourishing others. She was known for blessing family, friends, and neighbors with meals of comfort whenever there was a need. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, generosity, and love.

Ingrid was like a second mother to her youngest sister, Vivian, and to her niece and nephews. She freely shared her love, guidance, and wisdom, especially when it was unsolicited, moments that became some of the funniest and most cherished memories with her. Everything she gave came from a place of deep care and devotion.

Above all, Ingrid possessed an extraordinary gift of communication. She had an innate ability to make anyone feel seen, heard, and valued. She was a stranger to no one, and those who met her quickly came to love her. Her kindness, humor, and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ingrid’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched, the meals she lovingly prepared, the music she shared, the friendships she nurtured, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
