Ingrid Lutz, 86, of Woodstock, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on October 4, 2025. She was born in Augsburg, Germany, in 1939, and throughout her life, she carried with her the warmth, strength, and love of family that defined who she was. Ingrid had a deep devotion to her family and a remarkable gift for making a house feel like home. She was especially known for her homemade biscuits, which became a beloved staple at family gatherings. A talented cook and skilled crocheter, she created countless treasures with her hands that she delighted in sharing with those she loved. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether tending to her flowers, enjoying shopping trips, playing cards, or filling her home with laughter through her playful humor and antics. Ingrid also lived her life with a strong Christian faith, which guided her values and brought her great comfort throughout her years. Above all, her greatest love was for her family, with whom she shared countless memories and unwavering support. Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Klement Eder; her stepfather, Forrest Epley; her husband, Claud A. Lutz; her son, Claud Jr.; her brothers, Wolf Dieter, Sigfred and Karl-Heinz; and her sister, Helga. She is survived by her sister Hilda Beckler; her children Teresia Terry (Leon Terry), Randy Lutz, Donna Vining (Don Vining), June Baker, Mark Lutz (Rhonda Lutz), and Tina Whigham (Josh Whigham); 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Ingrid's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be remembered not only for her talents and humor, but most of all for the boundless love she poured into her family. A visitation will be held at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home on October 8th, 2025, at 10 am, with a service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Hickman Chapel Cemetery following the service.
