Irene Allington

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Irene Allington, a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on January 26, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1941, in Lithuania. She moved to the U.S. as a teenager and became a citizen in 1971. Her spirit is carried on by her family, and those who cherished her company.

Irene devoted 28 years of her life as a Gaffer for Corning Incorporated. Her dedication and commitment to her work were truly commendable, and her achievements remain an inspiration for all. In her leisure time, Irene found solace in the pages of books, knitting warm items for loved ones, and playing bingo. She was an avid viewer of Law & Order and other crime television series, a hobby that brought her much joy and relaxation.

Irene is survived by her son, Eric Allington and his wife Terri, of Campbell, NY; her grandsons, Trevor and Cooper Allington; and her brother, Rudy Krajcovic. Irene's kindness, love, and actions for her family and friends will indeed remain immortal.

At Irene's request, there will be no services held.
