Irene Ann Booher, of Rices Landing, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1950, in Pittsburgh, to the late Edward and Irene (Johannes) Wakin.
In 1968, Irene graduated from Allegheny High School. She worked as a caregiver in private homes for many years. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh in Carmichaels. On June 22, 1984, she married her beloved husband, Robert Lloyd Booher.
Irene enjoyed evenings of bingo, bowling, and playing cards. Road trips brought she and her husband great joy. They created memories wherever the road lead them, from Disneyland to New York. Irene found New York to be one of her favorite travel spots, as that's where the really great bingos were.
Along with her husband, Irene is survived by her children, John Ray, James Ray, Sherri Randolph (Colin), Lisa West, Edward McCoy (Robyn), Shelley McCoy Tanner (Leona), and Robert McCoy; her grandchildren, Jayson, Tyler, Jacob, Kayla, Nicholas, Bria, Eddie, Eden, Eli, Emanuel, and Ellie, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Fran and Regis Mannke.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the compassionate and loving care provided by the nurses and staff of Concordia Hospice.
