Phyllis Irene Ely, 86 years of age, of Florence, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. Irene was born in Florence, Kentucky on December 19, 1937, to the late Neville and Cora Hoffman. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Jack R. Ely. Irene leaves behind her son, Rodney Curtis Ely (Olga); grandson, Chad Ely (Rachel) and great grandmother of Alysia Renae Aguilar (Alberto) and Chase Curtis Ely. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with services following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Memorial contributions can be made in Irene's honor to Sand Run Baptist Church, 1327 N Bend Rd, Hebron, KY 41048.
