Irene L. Falcon

On Thursday January 12, 2023 at 6:30 pm, Irene L Falcon passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital at the young age of 79. Irene was born on Friday, October 29, 1943 at Baptist hospital to the late Sidney L Lapuyade Sr. and the late Irene G Lapuyade. She was preceded in death by her brother Sidney Lapuyade III, her sister Rita Dargis (George Dargis Sr.) and her brother baby Sidney and her brother in law Oscar Pleyel. She is survived by her devoted and loving family; husband Ron Falcon, children Melissa Davis (Peter), Tammy Falcon and Dustin Falcon, her siblings Lenny Lapuyade (Johanna), Lois Pleyel and her sisters in law Diane R Lapuyade, Barbara Barnes (Ronnie), LaVerne Amore, and Caroline Clark (Joseph), her grandchildren Cody, Daniel, Kaleb and Raeleigh Falcon and her Kelse'. As one of six Lapuyade children, Irene is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Irene was a special person who lived life to the fullest. Residing in Metairie for 54 years before moving to Covington for the last 16 years. Irene also spent 9 years as a Navy wife where she lived in Massachusetts, Texas, San Diego California. She was always ready for a road trip with family and friends. Among her many road trips, most recently Irene visited Houston, Texas to see the Astros and Nasa, followed by a trip to Tennessee attending the Dinner shows and the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. A Christmas cruise to the eastern Caribbean followed and a summer trip to Disney World for the most magical celebration on earth; where she rode the "best roller coaster i've been on", (Guardians of the Galaxy). She spent some of her last days on a Christmas cruise to the Western Caribbean visiting new ports she has never seen.
