Irene Fisher

Irene Carmack Hood Fisher, age 94, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri. Irene was born to George and Dora Carmack on March 19, 1931, in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She loved birdwatching, traveling, and relaxing by the lake, but above all, she cherished her close-knit family and the special connections with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include, three daughters, Lavetta Phillips of Shell Knob, Deborah Driskill of Moore, Oklahoma, and Sandy "Alvina" Walker of Linn Haven, Florida; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; one brother, Gary Kernel of Kansas City, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri, with Reverend Zachary Leal officiating, a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment of the cremains will be held at Friends Cemetery in Purcell, Missouri at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
