Irene R. Haycook, 77, Neohso, MO. passed into eternal rest May 6, 2025 at Westgate at Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, MO after a long illness.
Irene Rolande Brault was born March 19, 1948 in Gorham, NH, the daughter of Roland and Irene (Griffin) Brault. Irene moved to Joplin, MO in 1981 and had lived in the area ever since. She formerly owned and operated the Dollar Shop in Joplin, MO and was a cosmetologist. Irene loved knitting, crocheting and was known for her great love of everything Elvis. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irene was a member of the Seneca First Baptist Church.
Irene married Robert (Bob) Haycook and he survives.
Additional survivors include her children; Tina Tate and husband David, Tonya Flores-Carrasco and husband Victor and Joseph Springer; 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; one sister Claudette Bro.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents Roland and Irene Brault; one son Paul Springer; siblings, Laura, Paulette, Roland and Roger.
The family will hold a Celebration Of Life Memorial Service 10:00 am, May 17, 2025 at the Seneca First Baptist Church with Caleb Jones officiating.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral home, Seneca, MO.
