NAUGATUCK – Catherine Irene Jecture fell asleep in death on the morning of February 25, 2022.
Irene, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Naugatuck on April 22, 1922. She grew up on a farm and was very fond of animals, wild and domestic. And she loved flowers! Irene was a life-long resident of Naugatuck, and worked very hard cooking, baking, shopping, and making a home for her large family. Also, Irene was a devoted member of the west Naugatuck Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over thirty years. She truly enjoyed attending and commenting at meetings, participating in the field ministry and visiting with all her loving friends.
Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband of forty years, Joseph Jecture, her father, Edward Baummer, her mother, Irene Baummer Malmgren, her step-father, Carl Malmgren, and two brothers, Edward and Kenneth Linden Baummer. Irene is survived by her four children, Linda Schreiber, Marianne Manne, Catherine Jecture, and Joseph Jecture; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
