Irene F. McLellan

Irene F. McLellan, a loving, kind, and thoughtful woman, passed away on May 10, 2023, in Killeen, Texas, at the age of 79. Born on November 21, 1943, in Freeport, Maine, Irene was a shining example of what it means to live a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those around her.
Irene was born to Harold and Hazel Grover and was raised alongside her nine siblings. She attended Cape Elizabeth High School. Irene married the love of her life, Clifford McLellan, and together they built a beautiful family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six siblings. Irene is survived by her son, Scott McLellan and wife Yvonne of Killeen, her daughter, Tammy McLellan of Killeen, her brother, Bobby Grover, her two sisters, Patricia Young and Marie Desalle, and her grandson, Keith Davis. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
For over twenty-six years, Irene managed a Schlotzsky's, where she led her team with grace and kindness. Her dedication to her work and her ability to connect with people made her a beloved figure in the community. Irene's coworkers and customers alike were inspired by her unwavering positivity and the genuine care she showed for everyone who walked through the doors of her establishment.
When not at work, Irene could be found tending to her beautiful garden, exploring the great outdoors, or watching her favorite show, General Hospital. She had a special connection with nature and found solace in the tranquility it provided. Irene's love for the outdoors was only surpassed by her love for her family and her dog, Nikki. She took great pride in her garden and the joy it brought to those who visited her home.
Irene's legacy of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her spirit within them.
