Irene Sweeny Obituary

Irene was a public health nurse and a secretary at Pepsico, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of the Women's Club of White Plains as well as a deacon, RE Director, Member of the Board of Directors, and a choir member at Church in the Highlands in White Plains.
Irene is survived by her sons, John (Vell) Sweeny and Michael (Cynthia) Sweeny, her daughter Anne (Peter) Haddad, her seven grandchildren: Michael, Sean, Katie, Liz, and Will Sweeny and Jennie and Charlie Haddad. She is predeceased by her brother John Nesteruk, and her sisters Elsie Nesteruk and Jennie Daggett.
Irene was a beloved mother and devoted friend, and was faith-filled and dedicated to service in her church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Donations can be made at alzfdn.org.

My sincere condolences. I loved Irene and Bill. They were kind good-hearted people. They will be deeply missed. I wish I had known about the death and arrangements.
