Iris Hill Obituary
Iris (Shankles) Hill, 79, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bessie and father, William (T-Bone) Shankles, brother, Billy, four sisters Lorene, Bonnie, Chrestene, and Gladys.
Iris was born July 31, 1944, in Center Point, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gerald Hill.
She was a loving wife, aunt, and sister who always put others first.
Iris loved fishing, camping, tending to her flowers and lawn. She was an excellent cook, and loved cooking for friends and neighbors in sickness or in need.
She was blessed with a beautiful voice to sing praises to her Lord. Her favorites were the old time gospel hymns.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 10:00am at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Glover Cemetery.
