GIBBONS, Iris Jean Nummy, 87, resident of Deatsville, AL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 11:00 am from Prattville Memorial Chapel with Bishop Robbie Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Prattville Memorial directing. The family will receive family and friends at Prattville Memorial on Tuesday one-hour prior to the service. She was the beloved daughter, 5th of 8 siblings of Joseph William Nummy and Alphia Iula Barber Nummy. Mrs. Gibbons was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Eugene "Gene" Gibbons; parents, Joe W. and Iula Nummy; sister, Susie Nummy Hunt; brother, James H. Nummy; sister, Loretta Jackson; sister, Peggy Driver; sister, Elizabeth Carr; brother, Jackie Nummy. She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Myers (Gary), Debbie Rogers (Jerry) and Donna Hardiman (Ray); eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Joan Nummy; sister-in-law, Gladys Leslie Gibbons; sister-in-law, Gracie Nummy; brother-in-law, Tommie Carr; host of nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Anthony Richey, Luke Coburn, Jarrett Norris, Jonathan Hopper, Bobby Rogers and Jeremy Love.
