Iris G. Revetti, 78, of Wampum passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at UPMC Passavant following a brief illness.
Born May 9, 1947, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Wendell J. and Marjorie M. Knight Buchanan. She married Gary L. Revetti on September 18, 1965.
Iris graduated from Mohawk in 1965 and worked as a cashier at Sears for 16 years until her retirement. She served her community as Judge of Elections and as an active member of the Wampum Women's Club, where she co-chaired the Veteran's Flag Project. A woman of strong Christian Faith, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, and baking. She especially loved watching birds and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gary; three daughters, Chris (Rich) Newman, Brenda (William) Daufen both of Ellwood City, and Ronda (Todd) Hinkle of Portersville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two on the way, and sister, Mildred Stewart of New Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James "Butch" Buchanan and sister, Bonnie Zook.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday September 29, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at 11 am with Rev. Mike Wimer of the 1st Baptist Church of Chewton officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
