Richard graduated from Howland High School in 1959 and spent his career as a machine operator, working 20 years at Casings. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and in his younger years, enjoyed hunting and fishing. An avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates, he formerly enjoyed watching NASCAR. Richard was a skilled woodworker who created lasting pieces loved by his family. Affectionately known as "Cobra", he cherished time spent with family and friends, who were all very important to him.
