Iris Smith Obituary
Funeral Mass for Iris Rabalais Smith of Denham Springs will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville on Monday, November 4, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Father Martin Laird officiating. Burial will follow in the Mater Dolorosa Church Cemetery.
Iris Smith, age 75, passed away at her home in Denham Springs on October, 31, 2024. She was a devout Catholic, she graduated from St. Joseph School in Plaucheville, and she loved her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dawn Turner and Shawn Turner; sister, Carol R. Plauche (Gary); grandchildren, Hannah, Haley and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Annabelle, Earl, Jr., Elijah, Benjamin, Astrid, Dylan, Addison, Aspen, and Grayson along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ruby (Scallan) Rabalais; and siblings, Mitchell and Gene Rabalais.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers, Phillip Cormier, Joseph Bernard, Gary Plauche’, Darrell Rabalais, Shawn Turner, and Landon Bernard.
Visitation will begin Monday, November 4, 2024 beginning at 8:00 am until 11:00 am in the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville.
