Irma Dean Darty

Irma Dean Darty, a beloved resident of Hardee County, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Midland City, Alabama, on March 26, 1945, to Silvie and Gladys (Ellis) Criswell. Irma was a woman of faith, identifying as Pentecostal, and had been a resident of Hardee County since 1954. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home as a devoted homemaker. Irma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence Darty, her son Roger Darty, her brothers Sherman Criswell, Donald Criswell, and Deloney Criswell, and her sister Sible Moore. She is survived by her sons Dwayne Darty (Debbie) of North Carolina, Daniel Darty (Juanita) of Lithia, Florida, and Timothy Darty (Rhonda) of Tennessee; her daughter Sandra Darty of Wauchula, Florida; her sisters Ruth Armour of Lakeland, Florida, and Lavonne Robinson of Lakeland, Florida; as well as 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00. Interment will take place at Lake Dale Cemetery. Irma will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her kind, nurturing spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
