Irma Mae Leskin

PHILADELPHIA- Irma Mae Leskin, age 85, a resident of the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 8, 2024. She was born in Millersburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Paul M. and Grace O. (Sheaffer) Snyder. Irma Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul J. Leskin, who passed away on May 31, 2014, and by her beloved sister, Marie C. Snyder, of Millersburg, PA, on April 24, 2013.
Irma Mae was a graduate of Millersburg High School and Community College of Philadelphia. She was a member of the former Forney's EUB Church in Millersburg and of Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. She enjoyed a career as a church singer and educator.
She loved animals was devoted to her cats. Over the years she contributed generously to numerous charities.
She was the a heroic advocate for her husband, Paul, during his fight with cancer. She kept him alive and comfortable far longer than that he would have lived without her unceasing care, which she gave selflessly while she, too, was battling cancer that she ultimately defeated.
