Irwin Kahn, cherished husband, loving father, doting grandfather, great-grandfather,and a devoted patriot, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Springboro, Ohio, at the age of 89. Born on August 2, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Irwin lived a life rich in purpose and passion.
A proud veteran, he served in the United States Marines during the Korean War, where he embodied the values of courage and commitment that defined his character. Upon returning from his service, Irwin embraced his entrepreneurial spirit, founding Miami Business Interiors in 1968. For over two decades, he led the company with integrity and vision, leaving a lasting mark on the interior design industry before selling the business in 1990.
Beyond the boardroom, Irwin was an avid skeet shooter, finding joy and serenity in the precision and focus of the sport. In addition, he served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Butler County Sheriff's Department, committed to serving his community with unwavering dedication.
Irwin had an insatiable curiosity for the sciences, particularly fascinated by Quantum Physics and String Theory. His thirst for knowledge inspired those around him to explore the complexities of the universe, and he engaged in conversations that sparked curiosity and wonder in others.
Irwin is survived by his beloved spouse, Sondra Kahn, and his daughter, Phyllis Kahn, as well as step-son, Troy (Lisa) Hascher, and step-daughter, Tracey Pullum. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Joshua Hascher, Jake Hascher, Alisson Grubb, and Steven Hascher, as well as his great-grandchild, Emma Hascher. Irwin's legacy of love, wisdom, and strength will carry on through the generations he cherished.

Irwin was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gladys Kahn, brother, Jerry Kahn, and sister, Barbara Harvey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A funeral service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial will take place at 2:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
