Irwin Odle Obituary
Irwin "Dubbie" Odle departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was the son of the late Lewis Odle and Lillie Odle White. He is survived by one daughter, Sandy Lee (Craig) of Nicholasville, KY; one sister-in-law, Doris Odle of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Odle is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Embry Odle; one sister, Jean Pettit; and four brothers, Wayne, Sammy, Lonnie, and Thurman Odle.
Mr. Odle was born in Kentucky and lived there until 1987, when he moved to Horry County, SC. He was the owner of "Dr. Dubbie's Repair Shop" where he met many customers who became good friends over the years. He was best known by all who knew him for his remarkable work ethic and his passion to work and help people. Mr. Odle was an active member of Pauley Swamp Baptist Church in Conway. He was a great lover of animals and southern gospel music.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Pauley Swamp Baptist Church in Conway. Funeral services will follow at 5:00PM with Rev. Robbin King officiating.
The family will also receive friends Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Centre on Main in Leitchfield, KY. A private burial will be held at Layman Memorial Gardens in Millwood, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pauley Swamp Baptist Church, 7480 Pauley Swamp Road, Conway, SC 29527.
