Our beloved Isaac Michael Madrid from La Mesilla, born on October 11, 2005, went home to be with the Lord early in the morning on April 17, 2025, as the result of a car accident.
Isaac was preceded in death by his father, Michael Montoya, paternal grandparents, Isauro Sr. and Mary Madrid, Uncle Harry Madrid, Aunt Molly Martinez, Cousin David Madrid, and Grandfather Rollin Toohey.
Isaac is survived by his mother, Veronica Martinez, Grandparents, Isauro (EZ) and June Madrid, Uncle Del Madrid, Sisters Jade Madrid (Julian Quintana), who were the closest to him, Abigail and Leila Martinez, Grandparents Gilbert Garcia and Ermeny Toohey, uncle and aunt, (God-parents) Pete and Roberta Madrid, Special uncle and aunt, Lenny and Nancy Martinez, uncles and aunts, Herman and Anna Garcia and Manuel (Mingo) and Carmen Garcia.
Though, quietly, Isaac loved our Lord Jesus Christ. Isaac lived a short 19 years on this Earth and in these years, he touched many lives with his gentle spirit, sense of humor, and his knack for intellectual conversations. He loved driving around in his Camaro, fishing and hunting with his grandpa EZ, sports, playing video games with his friends, and entertaining his little sisters.
Isaac had many close friends, too many to mention. They were very dear to Isaac and were a significant part of his life. Their kindness extended to the family as they were among the first to visit upon hearing the tragic news.
There will be a Funeral Service at 11am April 25th, 2025, at Victory Faith Church in Espanola with burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde. A meal will take place after burial at the old La Cocina location on Guachupangue Road. All are welcome to attend.
Serving as pallbearers are a very special cousin who was like a brother to him, Manuel Garcia Jr., cousins, Jacob Madrid, José Maestas, Matthew Martinez, Steven Martinez, and his close friend Chris Martinez.
The family of Isaac has entrusted Rivera Family Funerals and Cremations of Espanola to care for him and his final wishes. We offer our most sincere condolences to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and we thank his family for their trust.
